Minister of Agriculture, Robert Persaud yesterday commissioned a “mangrove protection” billboard prominently located at 3 Public Road, Kitty, in the vicinity of the Russian Embassy, to heighten awareness of the importance of mangroves and the need to protect and preserve them.
It seeks to encourage more persons to contribute towards the efforts to protect, and regenerate lost mangroves.
