Road users have the responsibility of ensuring the proper use of our roadways.

The recent spate of accidents engulfing Guyana is a cause for concern. And while those tasked with ensuring the proper use of our roadways are being blamed for this break down, we the road users and citizens of this country should also take some of the blame. There is no doubt that development comes with a certain cost. And with access to more disposable income many who once dreamt of owning vehicles have been able to make those dreams come through. In the process this has overwhelmed the traffic system which is then compounded the shortage of manpower in the area of policing. So road users have the responsibility of ensuring the proper use of our roadways whilst adhering to traffic rules and regulations.

Don't drink and drive and don't ride with anyone who has too much to drink. Remember, it is usually themselves and their passengers who are harmed by drunk drivers.
