The Court Order granted by Justice William Ramlall on Tuesday to have the locks removed from the office of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) within 24 hours was suspended late yesterday afternoon after the headquarter was re-opened three hours earlier.
This publication has learnt that the Court Order was suspended by Justice Ramlall, after the government retained a group of lawyers to immediately file proceedings to have the order discharged as early as possible.
Liveinguyana was made to understand that Justice Ramlall, after suspending the order, instructed that the GCB office doors be closed immediately.
However, confusion continued to reign up to press time last evening as the GCB office door remained open.
The GCB headquarters was re-opened yesterday by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport in keeping with a Court Order granted by Justice Ramlall on Tuesday.
Yesterday’s episode was witnessed by Internal Auditor Clifford Patoir and David Thomas, Director of Security within the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, along with GCB’s Cricket Development Officer Robin Singh, GCB vice- president Faizal Bacchus and GCB spokesman Raj Singh.
