John Silas
John Silas, a PPP activist that was present when Moses Nagamootoo claimed to have been named successor by the late Dr Cheddi Jagan has returned to Guyana and is campaigning for the incumbent PPP/C. While speaking to a large gathering of PPP/C supporters on the island of Wakenaan yesterday Silas said Moses is a liar as Dr Jagan made no statement to that effect. He also said that both the Stabroek News and Guyana Chronicle covered the Rupununi event and none of the media houses reported it.
