ANUG General Secretary Kian Jabour was today charged with assaulting a female he shared a relationship with. Jabour was charged for assault causing actual bodily harm committed on Amanda Ghanie and was placed on $20,000 bail by Magistrate Leron Daly after pleading not guilty. The incident stemmed from an altercation between the two over money.

This is not the first instance of abuse meted out to a female by the opposition politician. Similar allegations of abuse were made recently by Amanda Dhani on social media.

In July of 2020 Saleema Haniff made similar allegations on social media. A video also surfaced with Jabour taunting the young woman whom he shared a relationship with. There was a dispute between the two over the ownership of Toco Loco Restaurant and Bar which operated out of a property owned by the young lady at the time.

In a subsequent Instagram post Haniff spoke about being the victim of “verbal, emotional and physical abuse”.
