Our inside sources have revealed that huge cracks are developing in the hierarchy of the AFC as a result of discontent among some members with the leadership style of Raphael Trotman.
Peter Ramsaroop is a casualty of this fall-out and we have learnt that current Chairman Khemraj Ramjattan might be the next one to go.
The discontent stems from what members describe as Trotman's 'arrogance and selfishness'. It was reported that at a recent meeting of the party executives Ramsaroop stormed out charging that 'this is one coolie Trotman nah gon use'. Recent reports by insiders also reveal that Ramjattan alleges being sidelined and not given enough 'say' in party decisions and feels Trotman is positioning himself to be the party's 2011 Presidential candidate despite promising Ramjattan the position in 2006.

PPP all the way, there is no better party for Guyana than the PPP. PPP stands for Progress Progress Progress! Look at all the progress taking place in the country, don't worry about those who leaving, I don't know why they leaving the country. Is sheer progress all over the place. Just look at the many taxicabs about the place. This can only mean people are travelling and moving about a properous nation. And soon these taxicabs will all be painted yellow. Apart from minibuses, these yellow taxi cabs are a major source of employment for many in Guyana, even teachers and policemen drive taxicabs to supplement their income, now that is what I call progress. There is like one taxicab to 2 people in Guyana, now that is a luxury. Long live Guyana and the PPP - Progress Progress Progress.
ReplyDeletePersonally the oppositions does not have an influence on me rather it shows an image of our nation. Guyana has been developing and hasn't stopped since taken power in 1992. The AFC lacks basic stability; what else wont they run short of?
ReplyDeleteThis has always been known, Trotman's agenda has always been to be the absolutist leader and the fact that he has always been following the dictates of the PNC, therein lies the reason for the discord within the ranks of the AFC. The fact remains that every other leader in AFC is being sidelined because of Trotman's selfishness.
