University of Guyana terminates Freddie Kissoon's contract

Freddie Kissoon protesting

A well-placed UG source has informed Liveinguyana that the contract of political science lecturer Freddie Kissoon who also moonlights as a Kaieteur News journalist was terminated following a decision taken at a meeting of the University Council last week Wednesday. The controversial Kissoon will also be paid three months salary in lieu of notice.

Kissoon was often criticized by University officials for his failure complete or publish any academic research.

  2. I am an employee of Guyana Chronicle. I have received many threatening emails from Freddie and Christopher Ram supporters via email, post and contact web link on Guyana Chronicle's website. I discarded those mails and blocked the IP addresses of the cyber crooks. The IP addresses are traced from Kaieteur News, an internet cafe in Sofia, and one was traced in North Cummingsburg supposedly to originate from Ram and Mc Rae Chartered Accountants server. I did nothing to inform authorities because Ram and Kissoon can send threatening emails and deny they sent it claiming that " PPP/C Freedom House" people sent those mails.

Recently, The Director was forced to close down the contact page because Christopher Ram claimed that someone is impersonating him. I believe that this is a freedom infringement that Ram and Kissoon are advocating to protect their names.

Christopher Ram, we (Guyana Chronicle) cannot monitor who is sending emails and what such. The action you taken to put my job at stake is evil. You have hidden truths. I hope that your sons and wife speak out the truth someday.
