Businessmen being hounded for post-election violence protection money from the APNU

A group of businessmen have complained to the police of being threatened and hounded to pay money for protection from PNC/APNU post-election violence by several APNU officials, including Georgetown Mayor, Hamilton Green. Green who has a history of involvement with PNC hit squads and was accused of murdering his wife, was said to have visited as well as telephoned the owners of several prominent city businesses demanding that they contribute to the APNU's 2011 campaign or risk suffering at the hands of thugs during any post-election disturbances organised by that grouping. Some of the businessmen have produced telephone records as well as recordings of the conversations. The matter is now in the hands of law enforcement officials
