With respect to this let me first state that Donald Ramotar was unanimously elected by the Party Central Committee as the General Secretary of the PPP, and by virtue of that position he is obligated to represent the Party at these Outreaches and trips abroad.If Nagamootoo was the GS then he would have been afforded these very opportunities. So there is no kind of favouritism or state sponsorship.What Nagamootoo has to accept is that by his own actions he has distanced himself from the party when he refused to function in the Central Committee for over one year.As such, his chances of being the Presidential candidate for the PPP is very slim regardless of what methodology the party may decide on to choose its Presidential candidate .
