Deborah Backer's ingrained racism prevents her from being a suitable Speaker of the National Assembly.

Deborah Backer

The APNU's Deborah Backer is being featured in a list out of which a possible speaker of the national assembly would be chosen and we at Liveinguyana strongly disagree given that in our opinion Backer cannot be considered as being objective, unbiased and all the other genuine qualities a person holding a position of such importance should possess.

Backer's father was of Indo Guyanese ancestry and he left the home during a time when Backer was at a tender age. This caused Backer to develop strong anti-Indo Guyanese feelings which she has exhibited throughout her career as an attorney-at-law and a PNC parliamentarian.
