The Public Accounts Committee was under Opposition control since 2000.

The AFC's Khemraj Ramjattan in an interview with one of the local dailies said that the Public Accounts Committee as well as several other parliamentary oversight bodies will be used to investigate corrupt MPs. He also launch a scathing attack on several government officials, including the current Minister of Housing.
Liveinguyana was not bemused by yet another silly outburst from the AFC's presidential candidate who perhaps is unable to hide his inability to see and think straight. What Ramjattan should've noted was that the very PAC has been under opposition control since 2000. Yet no charges were ever brought against any member of parliament.
