PRESIDENT Donald Ramotar is likely to name his Cabinet today. In a brief comment to the Guyana Chronicle yesterday, he indicated that he was in the process of putting together the new Cabinet. He said while there will be some changes, there will be a retention of some former Cabinet members.

President Ramotar emerged victorious from a field of four presidential contestants, as his party, the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) emerged with the largest bloc of votes (48.6%) at the November 28 General and Regional Elections. The other contestants were David Granger of A Partnership for National Unity (APNU), Khemraj Ramjattan of the Alliance for Change, and Peter Persaud of The United Force (TUF)
