Ms. Yin also expressed how privileged and honoured she was to be at Tsinghua to deliver her presentation. She added that Tsinghua has the distinct reputation for turning out many of China’s top leaders, hence, she was confident that somewhere in the audience was the future leadership of China. She added that it is small developing countries like Guyana, which only contribute to about 20% of the world’s carbon emissions, will experience about 75%-80% of its effects. She stressed that Climate Change and Global Warming is an international crisis which all nations must work together to resolve and in this regard, Guyana is a small country with a loud voice.
Ms. Yin was among four Foreign Diplomats present at the lecture session, which took place in the Main Auditorium of the Tsinghua University on November 5, 2009. Also delivering presentations were the Romanian Ambassador to China, the Counsellor of the Swiss and the Counsellor of the Australian Embassies in Beijing.
Wonderful!! That is the area we want others to recognize Guyana, a small developing country that has capacity to instill and motivate others; this beautiful country of ours has done well over the years thanks to the GOG. Unquestionably, we are small country with a loud voice, and accredited potentials. If china can acknowledge this too, the LCDS programme by our government will succeed.
