The heavy and constant rains started Monday evening disrupting the business and social life, especially in Greater Paramaribo.
Besides many roads being completely submerged by water, traffic was a total chaos with long car lines.
The flooded streets caused many traffic accidents (car collisions, cars stuck by water overflow and cars falling into water courses).
