Christopher Ram in Mahaicony accident after Berbice drinking spree

A car driven by Chartered accountant Christopher Ram, who appeared drunk at the time, was involved in an accident on Wednesday at Plantain Hall, Mahaicony. Reports say that Ram, two staff members of the accounting firm Ram & McRae and his eldest son were returning to Georgetown from after spending several hours at a Berbice bar when his car was involved in a collision with another car travelling eastwards.

One of the staff members, Bindiya Singh was treated at the Mahaicony Cottage Hospital and referred to Georgetown while Ram was treated and sent home. Subsequent medical examination showed that Audit clerk Jermaine McPherson and Ravendra Ram were discovered to have suffered internal injuries. Two persons from the other vehicle have also been hospitalised at the Georgetown Public Hospital, one reportedly with serious injuries.

Eye witnesses recall seeing the car driven by Ram swerving uncontrollably along the road way before colliding with the other vehicle. At the scene of the accident several Absolute Vodka bottles were discovered among the ruins.

  1. This man should have been arrested cause drinking and driving is a serious offense and he endanger the lives of others with this accident that he caused.
