PPP 60th Anniversary dinner held in New York
This is precisely why when the Ramjattans, Benschops, Corbins et al talk you as the listeners should take it with a grain of salt.
In trying to mislead you into believing that it was tax payers money that was spent by the PPP to keep the recent NY meeting these folks have exposed themselves.
QUESTION: If the PPP survived 28 years of PNC misrule without access to state resources why can't they do the same now?
For as long as i could remember these very folks have been shouting that the PPP is selling out Guyana to a few business people, so if this is the case then; is it impossible to assume that these very business people with vested interest in the PPP funded this event?
FACT: The PPP is the only party in Guyana that conducts the most frequent public fund raising events......and all have been very successful.
HERE ARE A FEW EXAMPLES:
1. The state house affair is held every year in March.
2.Red House affair is also held yearly.
3.The PPP kept several fund raising dinners. The most recent one had a ticket price of $5000 per seat. All seats were pre-sold and more seats had to be provided on the day of the event.
4.During the strike by WI cricketers the PPP kept 2 fundraising cricket matches which were all sold out with the gates having to be closed by 8:00 PM to avoid overwhelming the stadium.
6.Each PPP group is required to keep fund raising events at least twice yearly
NB. I have not mentioned overseas fund raisers

The truth of the matter is that year in and out the PPP always have a fund raising event in various community and in the United states as well, but you never seem to see the PNC or AFC have any fund raising event.
