PERSONS WORRIED THAT AFC MIGHT USE RAFFLE INFO TO COMPILE NOMINATIONS LIST

AFC raffle sheet

Several persons have complained to Liveinguyana that the Alliance For Change(AFC) obtained their personal information through a raffle and is now using it for political purposes, much to their dislike. The raffle was supposed to have been drawn on June 18th and to date these persons are unable to say if the drawing actually took place. AFC activists recently visited several parts of the country where they distributed the flier pictured above.

Reverse side which has to be completed

Below the flier is a 'tear off' which advertises a raffle, the 1st prize being US$400. On the reverse side of this section participants must then fill in personal information which includes telephone numbers, home addresses etc. However, to the surprise of several unsuspecting participants who said they are not politically inclined they have been receiving telephone calls asking them to vote AFC at the upcoming elections.
One person said he is concerned that the AFC might use the information he submitted to compile their nominations list which has to be submitted to GECOM before a party is allowed to contest general elections.
We will bring you more on this story shortly.........
