Opposition hire 15 lawyers to defend case it claimed has no merit

Despite dismissing the government's resort to the courts challenging the constitutionality of their move to reconfigure the parliamentary committees as being 'without merit' the parliamentary opposition retained the services of at least 15 lawyers.
This was evident when the matter was heard in court today and it makes a mockery of their earlier claim as one wonders whether an action that is 'without merit' would warrant such a large defense team.

Speaker of the National Assembly and AFC leader Raphael Trotman earlier this month said that the government’s court challenge is a “fishing expedition” which he doubts will pan out in their favour.
