Kaieteur News

Kaieteur News has adopted a policy where they do not carry coverage of Government related events or stories that may not shed bad light on the government! This is their right!

For example, last evening's opening of GUYEXPO 2009 was carried by all other dailies except Kaieteur News! And this is just one example among many.

However it would be interesting to know what brought about this new policy.

And would it constitute an attack on press freedom if by some chance the government were to remove the placing of state ads in the Kaieteur News in return, perhaps using the same logic?

  1. This is another sordid attempt by Kaieteur News to target the Government. It will do more harm than good to that entity's outfit. This publication is now fighting for attention as it feels threaten due to its dwindling circulation owing to the very stunts it has been pulling week in and week out to re-establish itself, as it claimed that it was once the leading publication.
