Trotman prepares to leave AFC

AFC leader Raphael Trotman today during his presentation at the 2011 Budget debate in parliament hinted at bowing out of politics thus leaving the AFC and its leadership in a limbo. In a rather somber sounding speech Trotman described his presentation as 'being my last budget debate', since the time is now ripe for 'me to take my leave'. He added that he no longer has the energy to contribute to a meaningless process.

This comes at a time when there's plenty disagreement within the hierarchy of the party over the Ramjattan/Holder candidacy with some including Trotman himself expressing the view that Ramjattan will cause the AFC to loose more votes.

  1. Guess he sees that come election his party would see less seat in parliament....and he don't want to be blame for it so he is leaving

  2. With him leaving is a clear indication that he too dont have the confidence that the AFC could win the elections come 2011.........

  3. Trotman dont want to be apart of the party since they are loosing the little support that they had and he dont want to be blame for the lost of this year election.

  4. This was predicted since there have been constant fighting between himself and Ramjattan and the fact that he cant be lead by Ramjattan since he is not as capable.

  8. The AFC is collapsing from the inside out… This is no surprise with the “obvious” loss of elections “again” in the air for this Party. They have no one to blame but their own ignorance, greed and lack of vision, ethics and values… At the rate that they are going however, it doesn’t look like we are going to see a big number within the hierarchy of the AFC….or even an AFC Party at all by the time elections…

  9. Trotman And Ramjattan both left party that they were apart of since they were not getting and where of position in the party. Now that they have started there own party they start fighting each other for the leadership position and Ramjattan won,so now Trotman decide that he will be on the road again looking for the next close to best thing.
