Guyana Chapter of TI is comprised of known anti-government critics

ACTING Minister of Foreign Affairs, Manzoor Nadir, on Friday wrote to Mr. Cobus de Swardt, Managing Director of Transparency International (TI), on what he said were the “known and public biases” of members of the Guyana Chapter of TI.

In his letter, Minister Nadir named several persons who had affiliations with opposition political parties and have demonstrated hostility, bitterness and vitriol to the Government of Guyana. Among those named were Christopher Ram, Enrico Woolford and Keith Parks.

Enrico Woolford-Known anti-government crusader. Was also a senior information disseminator under the illegitimate PNC government of the post 1992 era. Also the publisher of Capitol News, a local news cast which works overtime to discredit government programmes and officials.

Christopher Ram-Wrote the PNC manifesto in 2006 and was nominated as one of the party's 2011 Presidential candidates. Also an outspoken anti-government critic.

Gino Persaud-Was removed as a government representative of the University of Guyana council and ever since being side stepped for the post of DPP has become bitter and seeks to be critical of the government and its policies and programmes.
