Stabroek News & the President's speech.
The Stabroek News took time off to take pot shots at the president’s speech during the opening of the 10th Parliament. But yhy shouldn’t they: they’re part and parcel of the official opposition. They accused the government of focusing during its terms of office on “the retention of power”. Hellooo? So what has the APNU/AFC focused on during the short two months since it secured a majority in Parliament? Can you image what they would do if they were to secure the government? Remember that Ramjattan’s first statement after the elections was to call for his RDC councillors to receive increased compensation.
