'Group of 18' paid by anti-climate change group REDD-Monitor

The so-called 'civil society' grouping, which ironically consists of opposition members, two of whom are current members of parliament, were paid by anti-climate which group REDD-Monitor to affix their signatures on the much publicized letter to Norway’s Minister of Environment and International Development, Mr. Erik Solheimis.
The letter was submitted a mere days before Solheimis is scheduled to arrive in Guyana and aside from the usual anti-government political rethoric questions to competency of the International Development Bank (IDB) and the United Nations Development Programme to serve as partner entities for the supervision of the implementation of the projects.
REDD-Monitor is an organization run by Chris Lang which campaigns Globally against Climate Change funding for developing countries. His group is believed to be funded by neo-conservatives in the US.

  1. The position of this group of 18 is definitely anti-national and unpatriotic. Why would these people want to deny Guyana funds it earned for the development and other Guyanese.

  2. These fucking rich bastards in association with the AFC are not interested in seeing Guyana move forward. This appalling anti-patriotic stance should be condemned by all Guyanese. Stop playing politics with people's livelihood and development.

  3. The gang of 18 digging its own grave, for we will prevail, I see one lady sign her name and I remember her father had a bomb factory in the family home and as she galavanted around GT plotting to bring harm to Guyanese people with her father's homemade bombs, the father at home making bombs when one night the bomb factory house just blew up killing the bomb maker and the entire family, so sad, but here she is in 2011 signing her digraced name to a document of no value, either she is dunce or just plain wicked and evil that is why she signed a jumbie piece of paper. Guyana will prevail as the Norway people are not fools like the gang of 18.

  4. Guyana is the best in preserving our Forest and at the same time utilizing it in the very best interest of the Guyanese people. The opposition is not capable or interested of making Guyana an example for other to follow. It is quite clear that the PNC and AFC is seeking to make life hard for the Guyanese People. The track records at the Guyana Forestry Commission in preserving Guyana Forest is very clear and best, better than all other countries in the world today. I must point out that I have been an assistance Commissioner of Forest, resign in 1981 and can verify that those days the Government had no control of the Forest resources and today it is very clear that Guyana Forest will always be preserved because the system put in place,( log tracking system and Code of Practice adherence for stake holders to follow. They are for sure anti-national who plans are to destroy. People who can properly assessed and analyse the situation will see for sure that Guyana is the best in trying to stabilising climate Change. In every country I am sure one have to be aware of distructive elements.
